Ferrum, Va. – The Meredith soccer team stayed undefeated in conference play, defeating Ferrum 2-0. The Avenging Angels are now in sole possession of the USA South with a 4-0 conference record.

Meredith (9-2-1, 4-0 USA South) took the lead three minutes into the game on an unassisted goal by Emmy Errante. The goal was Errante’s fourth on the season. The Avenging Angels took the 1-0 over the Panthers (2-11-1, 1-5) into halftime.

In the second half, Meredith gained an insurance goal within the first 31 seconds of the second half. Maggie Hart scored her third goal of the year off an assist from Kristy Knight. Knight leads the team on the season with 27 points.

Meredith next hosts Christopher Newport on Saturday at 4 p.m.
