Soccer - Oct. 6
Fayetteville, N.C. - The USA South Athletic Conference released their player of the week awards. Alex Calvert was named the USA South Women's Soccer Player of the Week. This is Calvert's third time being named to the award this season. Meredith is coming off of a 4-3 victory over Shenandoah and a 9-0 win over Mary Baldwin.

Alex Calvert, Meredith - The Wilson, North Carolina junior midfielder totaled four goals in a 2-0 week for the Avenging Angels. In a 4-3 win over USA South foe Shenandoah, Calvert tallied a hat trick by scoring three goals, including the eventual game-winner in the 66th minute. Calvert followed that performance up by scoring Meredith's fifth goal of the match in a 9-0 victory over USA South rival Mary Baldwin.
