Raleigh, N.C. - Meredith College Athletics Director Jackie Myers announced the resignation of Head Woman's Tennis Coach Rachel Gale. Gale is leaving the program for personal and family reasons. An immediate search will begin to find her replacement. Assistant Coach Andrew Waldrop will be the main point of contact for the tennis program until a replacement is found.

'We were very fortunate to have Rachel Gale's expertise the last one and one half years. We will look for an appropriate replacement as soon as possible to main continuity of our tennis program.' said Athletics Director Jackie Myers.

Gale had sixteen years of championship level tennis and is currently ranked #1 in the USTA North Carolina 35 and over, #6 nationally and 15th in the world in the 35's for 2008.
