Cross Country - Sept. 12
Wilmington, N.C. - The Meredith Cross Country Team ran well in the 2009 Adidas Seahawk Cross Country Invitational hosted by UNC Wilmington. The team finished fifth in the Division I dominated 5k race.

The Avenging Angels were led by Freshman Meagan Thompson who set the pace for the Meredith runners with a 37th overall finish at a 21:40 time. Joyce McLeod and Megan Beebe wer close behind with a 45th and 46th finish and a times of 22:12 and 22:15. Other top Meredith runners were Katelyn Thacker (22:47), Maggie Crifasi (23:37), Karen Chung (24:10), Lauren Habermehl (24:13) and Katie Helms (24:42).

Meredith next returns to the run on September 26 in the Greensboro XC Invitational.
