Two Soccer Players Named to USA South Teams
 
 
Soccer - Sept. 7
Fayetteville, N.C. - The USA South Athletic Conference released their player of the week awards. Kristy Knight was named the USA South Women's Soccer Player of the Week and Sarah Chadwick was named USA South Defensive Player of the Week. Meredith is coming off of a 2-0-1 start on the season, winning their home opener over Guilford and going undefeated in the Meredith Matchup 2009.

Women's Soccer Player of the Week
Kristy Knight, Meredith - The Raleigh, North Carolina senior forward scored two goals and an assist last week as the Avenging Angels opened the season with a 2-0-1 record. In a 3-1 win over Guilford, Knight scored the first two goals at Meredith's new athletic field and track complex. In a 3-0 win over Agnes Scott at the Meredith College Matchup Tournament, Knight had an assist to Emmy Errante. For her efforts during the tournament, Knight was named to the All-Tournament team.
Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Sarah Chadwick, Meredith - The Jacksonville, North Carolina junior goalkeeper earned a 2-0-1 record last week for the Avenging Angels. In 269 minutes between the posts, Chadwick shut down the competition. She was credited with 14 saves for the week while recording three shutouts while in goal including a 110 minute, 0-0, double-overtime, tie versus Salem.
