The Meredith basketball team defeated Mary Baldwin on Senior Day 79-70 to finish the season. Senior Lizzie Creech was honored before the game.

Meredith held even with Mary Baldwin to start the game at 13-all with 11 minutes remaining. The Avenging Angels then went on a run to lead by 11 with 7 minutes left on a three pointer by Megan Rahn. Meredith held a four point lead at the half, 32-28.

The Avenging Angels stormed out in the second half. Meredith took a 16 point lead with 12 minutes remaining on a jump shot by Kristin Stewart. Meredith held a substantial lead for the remainder of the half and held off a last minute charge by the Fighting Squirrels.

Meredith was led by Rahn with 21 points and seven rebounds. Brittany Cornelius had 13 points and seven rebounds. Stewart had a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds. Senior Lizzie Creech ended the day with seven points and two assists.

Meredith finishes the season with the win over Mary Baldwin.
