Raleigh, N.C. - Feb. 16 The Meredith basketball team hosted USA South rival and 18th ranked Greensboro College on Monday night. The Pride won the game 91-64.
Meredith (5-19, 1-16 USA South) hung with Greensboro (22-1, 16-0) to start the game and were tied at 10 all with 14 minutes remaining in the first half. Greensboro then went on a run to hold a 58-31 halftime lead. Meredith held even with Greensboro in the second half with both team scoring 33. The Pride took the 91-64 victory.
Meredith was led in scoring by Megan Rahn with 14 points. Kristin Stewart had a strong game with 12 points and seven rebounds. Courtney Kreber had 11 points including three 3-pointers. Hunter Johnson added eight points down the stretch.
Meredith next hosts Mary Baldwin on Saturday at 2 p.m. on Senior Day. |
