The Meredith basketball team traveled to Newport News to face the Captains. Christopher Newport took the game winning 76-56. Christopher Newport held an 11 point edge at half time.

Meredith was led by Brittany Cornelius with 19 points and five rebounds. Megan Rahn added 11 points and seven rebounds. Courtney Kreber and Kristin Stewart both provided nine points and two rebounds.

Meredith next travels to Greensboro on Monday before hosting Peace on Thursday.
