Meredith College and Peace College hosted the Raleigh Women's Cross Country Invitational that served as the Division III state Championship meet. Salem College took the meet with Meredith following closely behind. Salem scored 26 points and Meredith 31. Salem took the top three spots, but Meredith challenged back taking the next four and seven of the top 12.

Audrey Darby led the way for Meredith with a time of with 28:14. Jessica Panameno, Joyce McLeod, and Lauren McDonald were close behind all finishing within 20 seconds of Darby. Katie Helms, Lauren Connell and Rebecca Werner also finished in the top 12.

Meredith next travels to the USA South Athletic Conference Championships on November 1 in Greensboro, N.C.
