Meredith Athletes Honored

Raleigh, N.C. - The Meredith College athletic banquet was held in Belk Dining Hall on April 28 with all teams passing out their individual awards.

A full listing of awards can be found for each team below:

Meredith Tennis Places Members on USA South Teams

Fayetteville, N.C. - The Meredith tennis team placed four players on the USA South All-Conference teams.

Senior Morgan Martin (Hilton Head, S.C./ Heritage Academy) earned first team honors. Senior Meredith Roberson (Mechanicsville, Va./ Atlee) and sophomore Kathryn Maples (Carthage, N.C./ O'Neal School) were both named to the second team. Maples was also named to be Meredith's representative on the All Sportsmanship team. Sophomore Amanda Bitler (Raleigh, N.C./ Cardinal Gibbons) was named to the Honorable Mention team. more


Avenging Angels Named to USA South Teams

Fayetteville, N.C. - The USA South announced their all conference softball teams and three of Meredith's players were placed on them.

Freshman Arielle Stout from Jordan-Mathews High School in Siler City, N.C. made the second team as a utility player. Freshman Becky Roebock from Broughton High School in Raleigh, N.C. was named to the Honorable Mention team at first base. Junior Toni Tricarico from East Davidson High School in Thomasville, N.C. was named to be Meredith's representative on the All Sportsmanship team. more


Meredith's SAAC Spotlighted

Raleigh, N.C. - The Meredith Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) was spotlighted by the National SAAC in the quarterly NCAA Division III newsletter. Meredith was spotlighted for the clinic they held in October 2007 for the Special Olympics of Wake County.

Hall and Cornelius Named to NCCSIA Teams

Salisbury, N.C. – Ten student-athletes, representing eight institutions, make up the fourth annual North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) College Division All-State women’s basketball teams released Monday.

Nicole Hall and Brittany Cornelius led the ballots for Meredith. more
