As
an artist and future art educator, I find the creative process invigorating,
revealing, and fulfilling. One of my favorite things about the creative
process is the vast potential for deep self-discovery and self-awareness.
The creative process allows me to ask deeper questions about what is most
important to me and what I wish to communicate to others. Creative expression
helps me to better understand myself and my relationship to the world. I
find that as I grow and change as an individual, my art pieces also reflect
this evolvement. Yet through this ever-changing expression, runs the intent
of creating pieces that affect the viewer in a positive way.
I
enjoy communicating through color, pattern, and texture and strive to express
an energy and vitality in my work that is uplifting, celebratory, and life-affirming.
I also enjoy creating pieces that evoke a soothing, tranquil quality for
the viewer and seek to use symbols that create a sense of peace or inspiration.
Within my art run themes of spirituality, growth, freedom, joy, cultural
awareness, and celebration of beauty.
