Senior Brandi Bowengraphic design

Brandi BowenEver since I was a little girl, I have always created art. My artwork allows me to express the emotions and experiences that I am going through in this life. I enjoy all aspects of the creative process and truly love the feeling of accomplishment that working on a piece gives me. The artworks I create vary in style, concept, color, theme and medium. Themes of my work confront life and death, while other pieces consist of whimsical elements, simple patterns, bright colors and various textures for the viewer to take in.

Working in roles, either as a graphic designer, photographer or artist allows me the opportunity to express myself through various styles of art. My intention is to communicate to the viewer a different viewpoint of a certain subject, whether it is domestic violence or the simplicity of combining various fibers. Each design is created to pull the viewer into the piece. One of the most important aspects of what I do as an artist, is knowing that through my artwork I am reestablishing the connection of women that were artisans in my family and continuing the creative process.
