Whimsical
and nonsensical, I find inspiration in magical creatures and fairytale wonders.
I enjoy creating visual playgrounds with hidden toys and peek-a-boo wonders.
That is not to say, however, that such an odd girl as me doesn't express
dramatic themes and moody symbolism.
I like to believe that the yin-and-yang can be followed throughout my work: shadowed corners within a candyland or skeletons inside a princess's closet.
My Chinese roots have led me into an eclectic rabbit-hole of Eastern and Western. My artistic process involves much incense-burning, praying, error and a little planning for good measure. I freely admit to enjoying the contrast of creating artifgicial space with illustrations juxtaposed upon three-dimensional forms.
