My
work in graphic design is a representation of my personal experiences as
well as the experiences of the African-American culture as a whole. I try
to relay a strong sense of emotion in my work that includes strength, pride,
joy, sorrow and celebration. The use of strong lines, angles, vibrant colors,
and attention to specific detail are techniques which I use to project a
message, what ever it may be, to my audience.
My art allows me to have a quiet, yet influential voice in a world that is full of loud rhetoric. The human anatomy intrigues me so I use my art to explore the nuances of the human form. As I grow personally, my art grows as well. I am inspired by the idea that life is a journey with the anticipation of self discovery, change, and reflection.
