Sometime
I feel my voice goes unheard. I create art to make my voice reach the world.
I make art to tell stories and to look at a piece I made and to see a story
behind it. I think of myself as a storyteller and my artwork are the stories
being told. They are all different but they all show people a new world
in history, literature, and culture to which they might not have traveled.
As a child, I pretended I was in another world and amazing things happened.
I took my world and showed it to people through my dancing and, now, through
my artwork. I want everyone to see the unique world in which I live. Art
is more than paint on canvas or clay and wood; it's a way of telling a story.
The world is a large piece of art.
