Art
& Science are a series of interdisciplinary classes that offer students
an opportunity to study art and science in different and exciting ways.
Art & Science: Ceramics, focuses on ceramic science—pigments,
clay body composition, kiln construction, firing and glaze formulation.
Students develop artistic interpretations of geometric and bio-morphic forms
in nature as they study parallel and intersecting histories of science and
art.
Art & Science: Photography, leads students to explore the application
of photography within the sciences, the history and influence of photography
on the advancement of scientific technology, photographic processing and
image analysis as it applies to the sciences. Art & Science: Photography
is a service learning course.

Art & Science: Anatomy, teaches students to explore the history of the depiction and representation of the human form, biology of skeletal-muscular systems and the surface features, the two and three dimensional expression of human anatomy, and the relationship of functional morphology to art.
