The
Art History minor is a suitable complement to many majors
offered at Meredith College, including Religion, History, Women’s
Studies and others. The minor is also designed for art students who wish
to pursue careers that focus on the management of art: museums, galleries,
or community-based art organizations. The minor prepares students for graduate
school as well as employment not limited to art history. Because the discipline
requires analytical and critical thinking skills, both orally and in writing,
art history is a favored path for those who plan to attend law school as
well as many other diverse pursuits. 24
