Young Alumnae Board Application
Seniors:
Interested in getting more involved with the Meredith College Alumnae Association? Do you enjoy socializing and planning events? The Young Alumnae Board is a perfect way for recent graduates within the past 10 years to stay connected to their classmates and the College. Each class from 1999-2008 should have 2 members serving on the Board starting in August 2008.
The mission of the Young Alumnae Board is to promote the active involvement of recent graduates in the life of the College. The Young Alumnae Board will serve as a liaison to the greater Alumnae Association.
Young Alumnae Board members
- represent their class for a 2 year term and must live in the Raleigh/Wake County area during that time
- help with events and programs
- encourage fundraising and promote a 100% Board giving rate
- help with student recruitment
The YAB meetings are bimonthly and members are expected to attend Fall Council in October and the Annual Alumnae Association meeting in May as well as the YAB sponsored events throughout the year. Past YAB events have been Happy Hours, Social Brunches, Spring Fling, Majors Fair, Senior Induction Ceremony, and Orientation.
