Starting a Meredith College Alumnae Chapter
The Meredith College Office of Alumnae & Parent Relations is committed to providing our alumnae with information, services, programs and opportunities to connect with each other and their alma mater. Whether you're near or far, you have opportunities to attend events, volunteer, become active in special interest groups and further your career and education. We encourage you to strengthen your ties to the College, to create new friendships and networking opportunities and to serve the students of today and of future generations by starting a chapter in your area (a chapter is defined by alumnae living in the same area. Chapters are developed by region).
Goal of Chapter:
The goal of a chapter is to provide alumnae with opportunities to network and connect with other alumnae in their area and to stay current with the happenings at Meredith College.
Membership:
Every alumna of Meredith College is automatically a member of the Meredith College Alumnae Association. Membership in the Alumnae Association makes it possible for the College to support future alumnae and student programs and to assist with chapter events.
Events:
Ideally, a chapter would hold at least two events per year. Possible events include networking events, educational or cultural events, updates from a current faculty or staff members, and/or other social events. In coordinating your events, you will work with a member of the Alumnae Office staff. Prior to your event, the Alumnae Office will provide name tags, publications, and give aways for the event.
Mailings:
The Office of Alumnae & Parent Relations will mail the invitations for your chapter events. We provide this service for up to 3 events per year. If needed, we can also take the responses for the events as well.
Use of list:
Meredith College owns all mailing lists. Mailing lists provided to chapters for events should only be used to solicit participation in the event. All other uses are strictly prohibited.
Please visit www.meredith.edu/alumnae to see if there is an active chapter in your area. If not, please contact alumnae@meredith.edu to begin this process and start an alumnae chapter in your area.
