Undergraduate Admissions Requirements

Gazebo at the lakeSecondary School Record
General expectations: Applicants should present a challenging academic program, including honors, advanced placement and/or international baccalaureate level work. An applicant's program of study should include the following units in grades 9-12:

Grading scale
Meredith uses an unweighted grading scale. The College expects applicants to have at least an overall C in the following academic subjects: English, foreign language, mathematics, history, social studies and natural sciences.

Standardized Tests
At Meredith, the range of test scores for enrolled students is wide because of the importance attached to strong performance in academic courses in high school. In recent years, the middle 50 percent of enrolling students have scored between 950 and 1150 on the SAT and between 18-23 on the ACT.

Recommendations
An applicant should provide recommendations from a school official and a teacher who has taught her in an academic subject in the 11th or 12th grade.

Health Record
Applicants must complete a medical history form which is sent with the offer of admission. A student with a disability will not be denied admission on the basis of that disability; like all students she will be admitted based on her academic preparation.
