Re-Admits & Others

Whether you're pursuing a second degree, seeking readmission to Meredith or interested in taking courses on a non-degree basis, we're here to help you achieve your academic goals. If you need additional help, please contact us or call us at (919) 760-8581 or 1-800-MEREDITH.

Re-Admit Students

If you are a degree-seeking student who was previously enrolled at Meredith but did not complete the semester immediately preceding the term you wish to enter, you must apply for re-admission to the College, unless you are returning from an approved leave of absence.

A complete application for Re-Admit admission includes:

  • completed and signed application form, with essay
  • $25 non-refundable application fee or acceptable fee waiver
  • official transcript from each college attended since Meredith College, whether or not credit was earned (if applicable)
  • official recommendation from college last attended since Meredith College (if applicable)

Please click here to apply. Your application will be reviewed once these documents have been received in our office. Please note that you may have to resubmit credentials if they are no longer on file with the Admissions Office.

Financial Assistance

If you are considering Meredith but are concerned about how to finance your education, please don't hesitate to contact our Office of Financial Assistance. Our staff is available to answer your questions and provide assistance based on your unique circumstances.

If you would like to apply for financial assistance, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The priority deadline is February 15; applications received after this date will be considered for assistance as funding permits. FAFSA applications are available beginning January 1 at www.FAFSA.ed.gov.

Second Baccalaureate Degree Students

If you would like to pursue a second degree from Meredith, you should have completed your first baccalaureate degree prior to enrollment.

A complete application for Second Baccalaureate Degree admission includes:

  • completed and signed application form, with essay
  • $40 non-refundable application fee or acceptable fee waiver
  • official high school transcript
  • GED (if applicable)
  • official transcript from each college attended, whether or not credit was earned
  • official recommendation (if enrolled since receiving first degree)

Financial Assistance

If you would like to apply for financial assistance, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The priority deadline is February 15; applications received after this date will be considered for assistance as funding permits. FAFSA applications are available beginning January 1 at www.FAFSA.ed.gov.

Non-Degree Students

If you wish to take courses within the Meredith College credit curriculum, but do not wish to be a degree candidate at this time, please complete and submit this application. Any non-degree applicants who are non-U.S. citizens must submit an Immigration Status form.

Note: As a non-degree student, you may take a maximum of 11 credits hours per semester.  No more than 30 credit hours may be earned as a non-degree student.

Senior Scholars Program

High school senior women in the local area who are ready to undertake college-level study may enroll as special students in courses at Meredith. A student approved for participation in the Senior Scholars Program may attend classes for college credit in the summer prior to her senior year or in one or both semesters of her senior year. Please click here to apply.

To support your application for admission, a school official is requested to attach:

  1. A copy of the student's secondary school transcript including grades through at least the first semester of the junior year; courses in progress; an estimate of the student's rank in class; and scores on all standardized tests taken in high school.
  2. A letter recommending the student to take college-level courses prior to or during her senior year in high school.
