Freshmen
At Meredith, we believe that college should be both fun and life-changing. Here, you can create in-depth research projects in areas that interest you, guided by caring and experienced professors. Discover your own, unique leadership style, and explore the world through a study abroad program of your own design. Along the way, you’ll make new friends, discover new ways to enjoy life, and become a part of a diverse and exceptionally friendly community.
Meredith expects applicants to have taken a challenging academic program, including honors, advanced placement or international baccalaureate level work. To receive consideration for admission, applicants should present a solid grade report with at least a C average in English, foreign language, mathematics, history and natural sciences, and have successfully completed standardized tests including the SAT or ACT.
In recent years, the middle 50 percent of enrolling students at Meredith scored between 970 and 1170 on the SAT (Math and Critical Reading) and between 19 and 24 on the ACT. Freshmen Admission Programs
We offer two freshmen admission programs: Early Decision and Regular Decision.
Early Decision is designed for students who are ready to commit to Meredith at an early stage and, if admitted, withdraw applications to other colleges/universities.
Regular Decision candidates are those who wish to apply to a number of colleges, and should complete the application process during fall or early winter of their senior year.
Admission Deadlines and Notification Dates
Decision notification begins on a rolling basis in mid-October.

Visits are an essential part of your college search process—it’s the only way to really get a sense of whether each college is a good fit for you. You can visit Meredith’s campus in a variety of ways. Participate in a visitation day, schedule an individual tour, observe a class, or even request to spend the night.

If you are considering Meredith but are concerned about how to finance your education, please don't hesitate to contact our Office of Financial Assistance. Our staff is available to answer your questions and provide assistance based on your unique circumstances.
To apply for financial assistance, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The priority deadline is February 15; applications received after this date will be considered for assistance as funding permits. FAFSA applications are available beginning January 1 at www.FAFSA.ed.gov.
