Alumnae

As a graduate of Meredith College, you’ve experienced firsthand the value of a Meredith education. You understand how it helped you to grow and become the woman you are today.

Now, you play an essential role in helping to keep Meredith a strong and vibrant institution. Whether by referring prospective students, providing internship and networking opportunities to students or making a financial contribution, your interest and support are critical to Meredith's well-being. As an alumna of Meredith, you also benefit when your alma mater is strong. It adds value to your degree - and, it just makes you feel good!

Here are some easy ways that you can support the College:

Encourage Applicants

According to recent alumnae surveys, 98% of our alumnae would recommend Meredith to others (and do!). Alumnae are wonderful ambassadors for the College. You understand instinctively who will thrive at Meredith, and can relate your own positive experiences to prospective students.

If you know a young woman who might be a good fit for Meredith, we invite you to help her make a connection with us. Encourage her to visit campus—or bring her yourself! We even have a special visitation day called Discover Meredith that's set aside for alumnae like you to share Meredith with prospective students. You can also suggest that she find us on Facebook, or share a copy of Meredith Magazine with her. If she’s further along in her college search process, you can provide her with a voucher that will waive the application fee. Your encouragement may very well change her life!

If you know a student who would benefit from a Meredith education, you can also send us her information so she can be added to our mailing list. Please send us her name, mailing address, graduation year, telephone and email address. If you prefer, you can call the Office of Admissions at (919) 760-8581 or 1(800)MEREDITH.

Provide Information to Prospective Students

If a student is interested in Meredith, you can offer helpful information to assist her in making this important decision:

  • List of Majors - this is one of the first things students look for when considering a school
  • College Tours - Check this listing to see when our admissions counselors will be visiting the student's area.
  • College Planning Toolkit - this resource for students and families walks them through the steps related to college planning, including finding the right school, paying for school, and succeeding in college. It's provided in English and Spanish.
  • Indicators of Excellence - did you know that Meredith is ranked 3rd by U.S. News & World Report among colleges in the South? This list provides helpful information about our current rankings and other indicators (and will make you feel great about your Meredith degree!).

Give Back to Meredith

You also have the ability to touch our students through your generous financial support. Not only does your gift have a direct impact on the quality of education they will receive, your participation as an alumna donor can positively affect foundational and corporate support for the College.

Connect with Meredith

You can connect with Meredith in a variety of ways. Join your local alumnae chapter. Provide internship, co-op or employment opportunities to students and other alumnae. Find us on Facebook. Attend a lecture, concert or exhibit on campus.
