Admitted Students / Next Steps For First Year Students
Congratulations on your acceptance to Meredith College. Below are next steps that will ensure a successful transition to college. We look forward to welcoming you to Meredith!
Visiting campus is the best way to experience Meredith. Speak with faculty, observe a class, talk with current students, and speak with your admission counselor if you haven’t already done so.
Reserve Your Space
Officially reserve your space for Fall 2017 by submitting your $300 non-refundable deposit (plus a $5 processing fee for online payments). Early Decision deposit is due December 15. Regular Decision deposits should be submitted by May 1 – National Reply Date.
You can make a secure online payment through PayPal or by mailing a check or money order to the Office of Admissions, 3800 Hillsborough Street, Raleigh, NC 27607-5298. Cash is also accepted.
Register for StartStrong
At StartStrong you’ll speak with an enrollment counselor and discuss a course schedule for your first semester at Meredith. You’ll also meet your classmates and learn more about academic success and student life. Attendance is required of all new first-year students (exception for students living abroad). Registration Steps to StartStrong
If you are unable to attend please contact your admission counselor and then submit the Regrets Only Form for Students Living Abroad.
Scholarships and Financial Assistance
Meredith's Office of Financial Assistance coordinates over $50 million annually in merit and need-based awards. Generous merit scholarships and tuition grants are an important part of each student’s aid package. All students are encouraged to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to ensure access to Meredith, state, and federal assistance options.
Review the Enrollment Handbook
You’ll find important information about housing, advising and course registration, and campus life in your enrollment handbook, which is mailed at the time of admission. For students enrolling in August, you'll find this information in the 2017 Enrollment Handbook. Your timely submission of the required documents will ensure a smooth transition to Meredith.
Complete your Academic Records
Upon completion of your senior year, request that your official transcript, AP, IB, dual credit and/or college transcript be sent to the Office of Admissions.
Attend New Student Orientation
After reserving your space for enrollment, mark your calendar for New Student Orientation. This multi-day event takes place prior to the first day of classes and includes important meetings with faculty and student advisors, opportunities to learn about campus resources, and events to help new students engage in the campus community.
