Question: What is your favorite Meredith tradition, memory or experience?

Answer: My favorite two experiences at Meredith were studying abroad for part of the summer in Costa Rica (summer after sophomore year) and studying in Alicante, Spain for a semester my junior year and living with a host mother. Along with studying abroad, I played soccer for four years, which was an equally memorable experience, especially since we made it to the NCAA tournament two out of the four years.

Question: Do you have a personal connection to Meredith?

Answer: I am an alumna of the Class of 2009.

Question: What would be your one piece of advice for students engaged in the college search process?

Answer: I would advise students engaged in the college search process to find a college or university that is going to be the best fit for YOU. Find a place that will challenge you academically and intellectually. Take into consideration the size and location of the college, the courses that are offered that may interest you in a particular field, and opportunities for growth and leadership. Visit the campus to see if it is the right fit for you! Speak to an admissions counselor! These are some of the best ways to see if a college is right for you.

Question: Why Meredith?

Answer: There is a sense of community and sisterhood at Meredith that is felt across campus by our students. The small class size provides an intimate and more personal setting in which to interact with peers and faculty on a one-on-one basis - and you receive that personal attention both during and outside of class. Meredith offers over 500 leadership positions and over 90 clubs and organizations for you to get involved on campus, and by attending a women’s college you are able to speak up and let your voice be heard. Meredith also offers numerous educational and cultural opportunities through studying abroad. Service-learning is another great component of the Meredith experience and students are able to give their time and efforts to help groups and organizations. Most of all, the connections you make while at Meredith and the life-long friendships and bonds that are created make the Meredith experience so unique and fulfilling.
