Environmental Sustainability / Scholarships

Meredith College currently has a grant from the Margaret A. Cargill (MAC) Foundation to support curriculum development and student-faculty research in environmental sustainability. To date, grant funds have been used to support:

  • Faculty and student research stipends for projects focusing on environmental sustainability on the Meredith College campus, in Costa Rica, and in Sansepolcro, Italy
  • Faculty training in and implementation of sustainability curriculum
  • The renewal and augmentation of the Three Sisters Garden on campus
  • Campus convocations focused on sustainability
  • Student green event mini-grants


Environmental Sustainability at Meredith College

Meredith College's environmental sustainability major prepares students for the wide variety of careers in the growing green job market through its interdisciplinary nature and emphasis on practical, hands-on experience.
