Interior Design / Scholarships

The Sandra Graham Shelton Talent Scholarship is open to incoming freshmen interested in pursuing a major in interior design. More information can be found here. The application deadline is January 15, 2017. Scholarship Applications must also be admitted to the College by January 15.

The Kay Lambeth Scholarship is given in honor of Kay Lambeth, a Meredith graduate of 1939.  This scholarship is awarded based on high academic and financial need.

The Sala Clark Scholarship is given in memory of Sala Clark, an interior design major, class of 1994.  The scholarship provides financial assistance with preference given to students who have financial need and interests in historic preservation.

The Welton Family Scholarship is in honor of their daughter, Nancy Welton Avett, May 1997 graduate of the interior design program.  This scholarship is a merit scholarship for an undergraduate interior design major.

Other scholarships are available to interior design students through the Human Environmental Sciences Department.

Strong Story: Catherine Moye

With her interior design degree, Moye will move into a full-time position as a showroom associate at Karen Saks, an interior design showroom exclusive to the interior design trade. Moye began with the company as an intern in the fall of 2012. The interior design program at Meredith is accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation - Meredith is the only school in the Triangle area to hold CIDA accreditation.
