Curriculum / Business Foundations Certificate
The Business Foundations Certificate program is designed for men and women seeking to sharpen their knowledge of fundamental business concepts such as quantitative analysis and statistics, economics, accounting, and finance. The part-time, evening program accommodates the busy schedules of career-oriented professionals.
In addition to honing key skills for those already in established careers, the program is ideal for those who want to supplement non-business undergraduate degrees to gain skills for new career paths. In the Business Foundations program, students will tackle challenging quantitative concepts, use financial statements, interpret the economic climate, and compute financial valuations. Completion of the program also prepares students with the foundation of coursework needed for the MBA program.
The certificate program consists of four courses. Upon satisfactory completion of the four-course sequence at Meredith, a certificate signed by the Dean of the School of Business will be awarded. Students can complete the Business Foundations certificate program in just two semesters.
To apply to the Business Foundations Certificate program, previous completion of an undergraduate degree is required. Applicants must submit the application for MBA Post Baccalaureate Study (PBS) official transcripts from any colleges or universities attended, and current resume.
