Each year first year applicants are selected to receive scholarships on the basis of artistic talent. These scholarships are renewable annually for a total of four years, subject to the recipient's remaining in good standing, being a full-time student pursuing a major in art, and maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.0 on all art courses taken at Meredith College.
To apply for the Art Scholarship, please complete the Talent Scholarship Application. The Art Scholarship deadline is January 15th. To be considered for the Art Scholarship students must be admitted to the college by January 15th. Applicants for art scholarships must submit a digital portfolio on a USB flashdrive of 10-12 pieces of art along with the completed application. On the basis of pre-portfolio review, the department selects finalists who will be invited to interview with the art faculty and bring their artwork to campus during Scholars Weekend in late February. Scholarship recipients will be notified by mid March.
