Graphic Design / Program of Study

The graphic design program offers individualized instruction and hands-on learning opportunities that allow students to mature artistically and become skilled visual storytellers. The program’s curriculum provides a solid understanding of traditional design concepts, current computer skills, typography, corporate branding, and advertising strategy, which prepares students to create effective print and interactive design projects that impact their audience in a powerful and memorable way.

Major in Graphic Design
Students majoring in graphic design are required to complete 62 credit hours, which include 29 hours of core arts curriculum and 33 hours of courses focused on subjects including design concepts, typography and portfolio development. All majors are strongly encouraged to complete an internship.
