Foreign language programs allow students to gain a greater appreciation of other cultures as well as their own – and become more informed and productive world citizens.

Through course work offered by the Department of Foreign Languages, undergraduate students gain knowledge of a foreign language and its literature. Students acquire language competence in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Students also gain a greater appreciation of other cultures as well as their own – and become more informed and productive world citizens.
