Janet Shigehara, developmental math instructor
Janet has taught mathematics at Meredith College since 1994. A native of Hawaii, she earned a B.S. in mathematics from Truman University (formerly Northeast Missouri State University) and a master's degree in secondary education from the University of Cincinnati. Janet, who also works as a private tutor, "finds great satisfaction" in helping adult women improve their math skills in Developmental Algebra. Her personal interests include gardening, attending family gatherings, and serving as the Women's Ministry Coordinator at Celebration Christian Fellowship.
