Honors students at Meredith College are in a particularly strong position to apply for prestigious national and international fellowships such as Fulbright, Schwarzman Scholars, and others. The Honors Director and other Meredith College campus contacts are available to help guide students through the application process.

Schwarzman Scholars
Program educates students about leadership & China’s expanding world role

Fulbright U.S. Student Program
The Fulbright U.S. Student Program provides grants for individually designed study/research projects or for English Teaching Assistant Programs.

Rhodes Scholarship
Rhodes Scholars are chosen not only for their outstanding scholarly achievements, but for their character, commitment to others and to the common good, and for their potential for leadership.

Marshall Scholarship
Program supports U.S. citizens of high ability to study for a graduate degree in the United Kingdom

Barry Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Program
For sophomores and juniors who intend to pursue research careers in the fields of science, math, and engineering

Rotary Scholars
For career-minded graduate students focused on promoting peace, fighting disease, supporting mothers and children, and more

Rotary Peace Fellowships
Master’s degree fellowships at premier universities in fields related to peace and conflict prevention and resolution

Z. Smith Reynolds Fellowship
For those who demonstrate an interest in philanthropy, public policy, community service and/or the nonprofit sector

Iota Sigma Pi, National Honor Society for Women in Chemistry
Undergraduate award for excellence in chemistry:

Truman Scholars
Undergraduate award for U.S. citizen who intends to work in government, education, the nonprofit sector, or the public interest/advocacy sector

Alpha Lambda Delta
National honor society for first-year students

Kappa Omicron Nu
For active Kappa Omicron Nu members for study and research in human sciences who have demonstrated scholarship, research, and leadership potential

Udall Scholars
The Udall Foundation awards scholarships to college sophomores and juniors for leadership, public service, and commitment to issues related to American Indian nations or to the environment.

James Madison Graduate Fellowships
James Madison Graduate Fellowships are awarded to individuals desiring to become outstanding teachers of the American Constitution at the secondary school level

Davies-Jackson Scholarship
For students with exceptional academic records who are among the first generation in their families to graduate college, to participate in a course of study at St. John’s College at the University of Cambridge. Students in economics, education, English, geography, history, art history, political science, international relations, sociology, modern and medieval languages, music, or psychology are especially encouraged to apply.
